I enjoy listening to a wide range of music, and I love dancing, a current favourite is salsa. As a student I was actively involved in the university choral and music societies but for the moment, I enjoy the occasional visits to the theatre, opera and to musical concerts. When I can, I like to visit museums of modern and contemporary art. In December of last year I was fortunate enough to visit both the Picasso museum and the Miró foundation in Barcelona Spain. A favourite gallery is the Lenbachhause in Munich, Germany which is home to ' Der Blaue Reiter' family of painters.

Travelling and taking photographs are a real passion, my last adventure was a trip to Israel where I followed the biblical trail. My journey ended with an excursion into Jordan to see the mountains named after Lawrence of Arabia and the magnificent rose coloured city of Petra (see below).
I enjoy swimming and aquafit classes to keep fit and I also like to cycle provided there are not too many hills!
